Contact me for a 15 minute no cost consultation through the contact form. If you include in your message a contact number and good time to call, I will text you to confirm (or reschedule) then ring you at that time. It’s an opportunity to see whether my skills and experience are suitable for your needs. We may then schedule our first session together.

Sessions last for 50 minutes.

Our first session will serve as a starting point for our work together. I’ll ask some initial assessment questions, and you’ll have the chance to ask me about how counselling works and what to expect from our sessions. By the end of this first meeting, we’ll hopefully have a good sense of whether we’re the right fit to work together.

I usually suggest starting with an arrangement of six weekly sessions and during the sixth session, we’ll take some time to review our work together.

My standard counselling fee is £70 per session. I am keen to provide counselling to as broad a range of clients as possible so I encourage you to be direct and honest about what you can afford. In certain circumstances I may have scope to lower my fees. We will discuss in our initial call and agree your fee.

These sessions are appointments that we both commit ourselves to. If you are unable to attend a session please let me know as soon as possible. If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, or do not notify me of your absence, I will have to charge the full fee for your session. If you cancel or rearrange your appointment with at least 24 hours notice you will not incur a fee.

I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP), one of the main professional bodies for counsellors in the UK. This means I have completed a BACP-approved counselling qualification and have met requirements for study hours, client work, and personal therapy.

As part of my commitment to ethical practice, I have regular professional supervision with a trained supervisor. This ensures that the work we do together is as safe, effective, and supportive as possible. While your identity remains strictly confidential, my supervisor and supervision group (who are also bound by confidentiality) support me in reflecting on how best to help you.

I follow the principles of the BACP’s ethical framework, which covers every aspect of our work together—from fees and confidentiality to the importance of honest and transparent communication about the benefits, costs, and limits of therapy. This framework ensures that I work in a way that’s led by your needs, not mine. You can read the full ethical framework on the BACP website at www.bacp.org.uk.

I am fully insured for my work as a counsellor.
